Search Tips

You can search for Technical Publications based on keywords, categories or both.

List All Documents

You can generate a list of all of the documents in the Technical Publications database by

• Selecting "Search All Categories" in the Category list box.
• Pressing the "Search" button.

Keyword Searches

You can enter multiple keywords by separating them with commas, you can also select whether the keyword search is an OR search or an AND search. For example, your search terms are everglade, alligator. If you select the default search type, OR, then the search will return those records which contain either the word everglade OR the word alligator. If you select the AND search then records which contain the word everglade AND the word alligator are returned. The fields that are searched for the keywords are : publication ID, title, subject, description, creator.

Category Search

You can select a category to search from the drop down list. A category search will return all of the documents in that particular category. You can also do a category search by clicking the category heading of the search results list.

Combination Search

You can combine a keyword search with a category search by entering search criteria into both input boxes. To return to a keyword search or a category search, clear out the input boxes.
